Calls for more health
innovation
Technological development is too slow, says the
USA's leading health researcher. According to Friedman, IT
vendors need to increase the innovation rate. Today's
technology is usable, but not good enough to finish a truly integrated
health service where the patient is central, as an active participant and
control of their own health. U.S. leading health researcher, Charles
Friedman, wants more technological innovation in several areas. Read

Health and welfare
The Research Council of Norway reorganizes to
see medicine and health in the broader context of welfare challenge. “We
become more focused and there will be a more logical connection between
the distribution of our duties”, says CEO Hallén. Instead of a single
division for strategic priorities, the Research Council of Norway now has
two new divisions and two new board divisions, both professionally
sharpened at health and welfare, and climate and environment. Read
